The Timberville Planning Commission is an appointed body charged with advising the Town Council on matters related to the orderly growth and development of the town. There is currently a vacant seat that needs to be filled with another vacancy occurring at the end of the year. The Planning Commission’s responsibilities include providing recommendations to the Town Council for Conditional Uses, Rezonings, Comprehensive Plan and Land Development Regulation amendments and other related land development issues. Commission members are expected to attend the regularly scheduled meeting of the commission on the 3rd Wednesday of each month. Occasional attendance at Town Council meetings is required if a joint public hearing is scheduled.

If you are a resident of the Town of Timberville and are interested in being considered to serve as a commission member please submit a letter detailing any experience or qualifications you have that would apply to the position. The Council is looking for logical and rational thinkers who can work in a group setting, where opinions may differ, with the intent of bettering the town.
