TRASH
The Town contracts Waste Management to provide trash services to its residents. There is a bi-monthly bill charge of $34.50 that is added to the bi-monthly water bills. Additional trash cans are be $17.25/month, or $34.50 per billing. To acquire a second trash can or to have your second trash can removed, please contact the Town Office.

trash procedure
Trash is picked up every Tuesday. Bins must be out to the curb by 7:00 a.m.  All trash must be placed inside the toter. Waste Management will not pick up anything that is outside the toter.

If your trash is not picked up, please notify the town office on as soon as possible. We will then notify Waste Management.

Trash pick up on holidays:
Trash will be picked up on Wednesdays when a holiday falls on a Monday or on Trash Day.
Holidays that affect trash pick up:

• New Year's Day
• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Christmas Day

YARD WASTE
Yard waste is picked up:

• The 1st and 3rd Monday's of each month - March through November
• The 3rd Monday of each month - December through February

Requirements for Yard Waste Pick Up:

• Loose waste (leaves, shrub/grass clippings, etc) must be in bio-degradable yard bags not larger than 39 gallon and not weighing more than 65 pounds.
• Branches and limbs must be bundled
• Maximum size - 4 ft long, 2 ft wide, 2 ft high
• Maximum weight - 65 lbs
• Maximum limb diameter - 2 in

Bulk trash pick up
The Town also provides a bulk trash pick up twice a year in April and October. 

Requirements for Bulk Trash Pick Up:

• Place loose items in a box, bag, container, etc.
• Wood/brush must be bundled.
• No construction material.
• No paint in buckets, items with Freon, batteries or hazardous materials.
• Limit of 2 tires per household.

Notifying residents of bulk trash pick up:
On the March and September water bills, there will be bulk trash pick up date.
We will post it on our Facebook page, Instagram page, and website to notify residents of the bulk trash pick up date.
