We held our kayak launch dedication this morning at the Plains District Memorial Park. The dedication was attended by Cargill employees, Town staff and Council, Friends of the North Fork of the Shenandoah River, and members of the community.
Mayor Don Delaughter said this morning, "This is a homegrown boat ramp by Cargill and the workers in town."
This kayak launch was fully funded by a donation from Cargill and was built by the Timberville Maintenance Department. This is a new addition to our parks and is located at the Plains District Memorial Park (273 Memorial Park Dr).
We'd like to give a huge thank you to Cargill for their support, Town employees for their hard work, and those who joined us this morning.
