To clarify, the water bills were mailed by town staff on October 31st, as usual. The town has been informed that there was a sorting issue that occurred multiple times at the USPS distribution center in Merrifield, Virginia which is why customers have yet to receive their bills. Before you make negative comments on social media or call the town office to complain, please remember the town office staff was not at fault for this issue nor was our local post office.
We have had lots of responsible customers already contact us about getting their bill amount and making a payment, but to provide a bit more convenience we are extending the due date to Monday, November 27th for regular bill charges. As always, customers have the option of receiving their bill by text message or email; just contact the town office to get that set up.
Anyone with previous delinquent charges will still owe those by Wednesday, November 15th.
